About Our Founder
Our founder is a community leader, mentor and public servant with a long-standing commitment to empowering young people and supporting local communities across Camden.
Arriving in Camden as a teenager following the civil war in Sierra Leone, he overcame significant hardship, including homelessness and growing up on a council estate. These experiences shaped his passion for creating opportunities for others and giving back to the borough he now calls home.
Since beginning his community leadership journey in 2015, he has held several respected leadership roles, including Chair of one of Camden’s largest community centres, Chair of Camden’s largest tenants and leaseholder movement, school governor, and founder of a youth mentoring organisation supporting young people into employment, internships and work experience.
In 2025, he became the first Mayor of African descent in the London Borough of Camden. His leadership is rooted in service, inclusion and the belief that everyone, regardless of background, should feel represented, valued and empowered to succeed.
